The garden has two modest fountains that contribute to its attractiveness. There is also a lovely artificial lake in the park, which is surrounded by exquisite lotus flowers, and you may sit and appreciate its beauty by resting on the wooden and brick benches located nearby.

The pond’s scenic nature is enhanced by the presence of several large palm palms bordering it. This lake is also home to a number of fish and turtles, and watching them swim away gently is relaxing. This lake is also crossed by a tiny walkover bridge. The nearby park’s covered pathway resembles a long stunning pink canopy due to its dense growth of vivid pink bougainvillaea flowers.

 

Parimal Garden: Activities

The panoramic grandeur of Parimal Garden entices you to spend several hours there, making it an ideal location for meditation. The park is also a popular location for pre-wedding photoshoots due to its lush foliage and lovely trees.

If you go to the garden early in the morning or late in the evening, you will see joggers, walkers, and people performing yoga on the lovely green grass. The garden’s walking path is around 600 metres long. In the mornings, numerous laughing groups assemble in this area, and the loud laughter of elderly adults fills the air.

The garden has multiple swings that draw the attention of children from the time they arrive. The kids’ area is packed with small tots enjoying a great time at the park, with everything from seesaws to slides to swings. Some light workout equipment has also been installed throughout the area for adults to use.

The trees at Parimal Garden provide a lovely backdrop for various Gujarati movies and TV series being shot. Because of its prominent position and status as a local icon, the park is also the site of several medical camps.

Parimal Garden: Attractions nearby

Bhadra Fort

When the Maratha clan was in power, Sultan Ahmad Shah I, the builder of Ahmedabad, erected Bhadra Fort in 1411 AD. The fort has several government offices as well as a notable shrine dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali.

City Museum

Also known as the Kite Museum, it captivates both children and adults. The museum displays artefacts relating to the city’s religious past as well as Mahatma Gandhi.

Rani Roopmati Mosque

Presented to the city by Sultan Mahmud Beghara in 1430 AD, this mosque was built for his wife, Rani Roopmati and combines Hindu and Muslim design.

Vastrapur Lake

This is an artificial lake that was developed in 2002 and has since been a favourite destination for all Amdavadis to stroll along the concrete jogging track.

From November to February, the city has excellent weather, which is ideal for visiting places like Parimal Garden. From March through May, the temperature rises and it becomes too hot to be outside. The rainy season here lasts from June to October, which is also an excellent time to visit the garden because the flora is in full bloom.

By car/taxi: If you’re driving, you can reach the garden via Chimanlal Girdharlal Road in Ambawadi. You can also take a taxi from anywhere in the city and ask the driver to drop you off at Parimal Garden.

By public transport

The nearest bus stop to Parimal Garden is the Parimal Garden bus stop, which is just a few metres away. You can take buses from any part of the city to get here.

By train

Ahmedabad Junction Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Parimal Garden, which is around 5 km away. From the railway station, you can take a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to reach the garden.

By air

The nearest airport to Parimal Garden is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, which is around 14 km away. From the airport, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach the garden.
