The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has extended the deadline by five days for paying property tax. While previously people had to deposit the property tax by February 24, now they can pay till February 29, mentioned a ToI report.
The ToI report mentioned that people failing to pay the property tax within the extended deadline will be identified and their properties marked between March 1 and March 5 as part of a campaign that will levy heavier fines and may also attach properties.
To provide convenience to people and encourage them to pay the Patna Property Tax, the offline counters will be open even on Sundays till March 31.
Also, the PMC under Mission 7 to 11 are doing property tax assessment for new properties. For assessment or reassessment of Patna Property Tax, citizens can call toll free number 155304 and book their slot. The PMC team will then visit the property and determine the property tax to be paid.
