PMKVY courses list 2024: PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana benefits and registration

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was launched in 2015. Citizens of the nation are provided with skill training via this programme for them to find employment.  Immediately after the successful implementation of this programme, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2.0 was launched and spanned from 2016 to 2020. The government has now introduced the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0, a new version of the previous scheme.  This initiative would provide benefits to around 8 lakh young people. The training gained under this programme will aid in the development of the nation, and provide various forms of training to the residents.

During the Budget 2023-24, the government announced that it will launch Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 to skill lakhs of youth in the next three years, focusing on on-job training, industry, partnership, and alignment of courses with industry needs. The scheme will cover new-age courses for Industry 4.0, such as coding, AI, robotics, mechatronics, IOT, 3D printing, drones, and soft skills. The government will also set up 30 Skill India International Centres across states.

 

What is PMKVY scheme?

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), which aims to help the youth of India to avail of various industry-relevant training and find employment opportunities. Under this skills certification scheme, those with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2024

Based on the challenges faced in implementing earlier phases of PMKVY, the PMKVY 4.0, being implemented between FY 2022-2026, will be realigned with focus on making the process simpler.

Under the Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana programme, jobless youth will get training in over 40 technical sectors, including electronics and hardware, construction, food processing, handicrafts, furniture and fittings,  gems and jewellery, and leather technology. The nation’s youth are free to choose the training programme of their preference. For the next five years, under the Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2023, the central government would provide youth with entrepreneurial education and training programmes.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana important guidelines

• The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship oversees the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
• Through this programme, the nation’s youth are trained in order to find jobs.
• This programme provides 150 to 300 hours of short-term training. Additionally, specific project and RPL training is offered.
• For the operation of a special project under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, you must submit a hard copy and a soft copy of your project to the relevant department.
• Under this programme, trainees’ biometric attendance will also be reported.
• At the time of application, the nodal officials will screen all trainees.
• In the event that the login details are not obtained on time, the trainee may contact the Nodal Officer.
• Applicants without Aadhar cards may get the benefits of this programme via a special camp.
• Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, people trained under this plan get accident insurance.
• In the case of an accident, this insurance provides 2,000,000. (in the event of death or permanent impairment)
• If the applicant misses the program or is unable to complete the course for whatever reason, he may retake the course.
• One application for revaluation is permitted.

 

PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana: How does it operate?

• To link the nation’s youth under the Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2023, the government has contracted with a number of telecom providers to communicate about this programme to everyone through texts.
• Cell providers will provide candidates with a free toll number through text message, to which they will be required to make a missed call.
• Following a missed call, you will receive a call from a number and then be linked to the IVR system. The applicant must next email his information according to the guidelines.
• The information you provide will be kept secure in the skill development plan system.
• After receiving this information, the candidate will be linked with a training facility in his area.

 

Monitoring of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana

• Candidates will be registered by the SPIA as soon as the project is launched.
• SPIA will keep tabs on the progress of the project while it is being implemented.
• If a project hasn’t begun within the allotted amount of time after approval, it will be terminated.
• If the initiatives are not adequately managed, they may be restarted or shut down at any time.
• The programme will be monitored by the NSDC, SSDM, DSC, etc.
• The implementing agency must submit a progress report.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana eligibility 

• The beneficiary must be an Indian citizen to qualify for this programme.

Beneficiaries of the nation who want to apply for the PM Skill Development Scheme 2023 should follow the instructions provided below for registration (which are the same as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana registration 2021).
