Pothos: Sunlight requirement
As mentioned above, Pothos is an easy growing plant that adjusts to all temperature conditions. The plant grows well in indirect sunlight. However, it also grows well in the absence of sunlight. Further, it responds to other lights, including yellow or fluorescent lights. This virtue of it makes it a popular choice to be kept in homes and offices. Note that variegated Pothos plants may lose their leaves’ pattern if they don’t get enough light and may become green. If the Pothos plant starts looking pale, it means it is getting too much of sunlight.

Pothos: Water requirement
Pothos grows properly in well-drained soil as Pothos roots tend to rot if kept in too much of water. If you find black spots on Pothos plant leaves, it means the plant had excess of water. Always water the Pothos plant when its topsoil is dry. Note that too much of dryness may lead to leaves’ fall. The plant may slowly lose its grip.

Golden Pothos begin to grow as below-canopy plants with leaves that are small. When they start growing with the help of the sun’s light they start growing large leaves that can capture all of the nutrients from the sun.
Marble Queen Pothos
Marble Queen Pothos grow well in bright, indirect sunlight. While, they can also survive well in conditions with lower light, the white colour in the marble queen pothos leaves may be lost and the leaves may become green if the light is too low. Also note that direct sunlight should be avoided as this may be burn the marble queen pothos leaves.

Belonging to the tropical Solomon Islands, Neon Pothos plants have neon green heart shaped leaves. Neon pothos plants have a vining growth habit. If you grow the neon pothos inside your house, these can go upto 10 feet. While neon pothos is an easy to maintain plant when it comes to light, water and fertiliser, it has some common problems that may be a result of ill watering or lighting conditions.
If your neon pothos plants have drooping leaves that means that the plant is not water-fed well. Next is brown tips which is again a result of keeping it dry for long. Also if the neon pothos plant develops long vines with few leaves, this means the plant doesn’t receive enough light.

Patented by University of Florida, Manjula Pothos has large, heart-shaped leaves with variegation of white, green and cream. Owing to its rare status, the manjula pothos is difficult to get.
