May 2, 2024: In a bid to protect the homebuyers’ interest and promote efficiency and transparency, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has proposed a draft order under which it is mandatory for developers to share detailed information about the amenities offered in their project.
Under the newly proposed MahaRERA order, developers have to upload the following pointers in the agreement of sale uploaded on the MahaRERA site and annexed with the sale document that will be executed with the allottee:
- Facilities provided in the building or common areas and in the layout that they will be provided. These could be amenities such as swimming pools, badminton courts, tennis courts, amphitheater, society office, gym, squash courts etc.
- Area and the date by which these amenities can be used by allottees, their family members and residents.
Note that the MahaRERA has mentioned that this is a non-negotiable clause and action will be taken against non-complying developers.
Suggestions and objections regarding this proposed MahaRERA order can be submitted to MahaRERA at [email protected] till May 27, 2024 by all stakeholders.
