How to pay RRVPNL electricity bill in Rajasthan?

The primary responsibility of RRVPNL is to facilitate power transmission in the state.

Addressing long-standing electricity transmission challenges, Rajasthan significantly improved access from 71% to 100% in villages between 2015 and 2019. The state’s commitment to enhancing power supply led to the establishment of Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL). Ongoing efforts continue to bolster the energy infrastructure in Rajasthan. This article delves into the role of RRVPNL and explores various facets of electricity bill payment in the state.

What is the role of Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited?

Established on July 19, 2000, under the Companies Act 1956, RRVPNL plays a crucial role as the state transmission utility (STU), according to the provisions of the Electricity Act 2003, as recognized by the Rajasthan government. It’s important to note that the act restricts the company from engaging in electricity trading. The primary responsibility of RRVPNL is to facilitate power transmission, achieved through ownership, construction, operation, and maintenance of a high-voltage transmission system catering to the needs of both domestic and commercial users in the state.
