Sanctum-sanctorum of Ayodhya Ram Mandir complete: Temple Trust

The trust shared a video of the site, providing glimpse of the magnificent temple.

January 9, 2024: The sanctum-sanctorum (garbha griha) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is complete, the trust constituted to look after the construction and management of the temple said on January 8. In a video shared on micro-blogging site X, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra.

“After 500 years of penance, the Sacred Garbhagriha of Prabhu Shri Ramlalla Sarkar is ready in all its glory to welcome the aaradhya of millions of Ram Bhakts across the world,” the trust captioned the video.

 

Celebrations to start the pran pratistha (consecration) ritual will start on January 16. After a chariot tour around Ayodhya, the idol will be permanently placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on January 18. On January 22, it will take over as Ayodhya’s presiding deity with a formal consecration. Devotees will be allowed the darshan of the deity starting January 24.
