May 14, 2024: The Tamil Nadu government has inaugurated over 28, 8224 residential apartments in the last three years as per an official release. These apartments were built at a cost of around Rs 3,197.94 crore, mentioned media reports.
As per the report, through the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, over 37,720 beneficiaries have been granted allotment orders starting May 2021. Additionally, over 3,023 sale deeds were given by the government to beneficiaries.
Additionally, under the Dilapidated Storeyed Tenements, construction of 9,522 new residential apartments by demolishing the 7,582 dilapidated buildings are underway, added the release, as per media reports.
