TN govt issues 6.52 lakh pattas since 2021

According to the official statement, over 41.81 lakh patta transfers have been done through online process from September 23, 2022.

July 19, 2024: The Tamil Nadu government on July 17 said that it has issued around 6.52 lakh pattas for free of cost through the revenue department in the last three years of its service. According to the official statement, over 41.81 lakh patta transfers have been done through online process from September 23, 2022. 

The government, using a web-based system has measured and identified boundaries of the lands resolving issues related to lands. As per the release, of the 186 towns in Tamil Nadu, the town survey land records (TSLR) of 179 have become online and the remaining are being taken up.

Government has allocated Rs 5,337 crore. Additionally, as part of development, the state government has allocated Rs 2,476.89 crore for relief and restoration works in the areas affected by cyclone Michaung and heavy rains in southern districts, mentioned the official release.
