UP govt launches new scheme to sell vacant plots under data centre project

Yeida has invited applications for five categories of plots in Sector 28 through the Nivesh Mitra portal.

September 29, 2023: In alignment with chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision to transform Uttar Pradesh into a trillion-dollar economy, the government has introduced a new scheme for the sale of vacant plots within the data centre project in Greater Noida. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has invited applications for five categories of plots in Sector 28 through the Nivesh Mitra portal. Under this process, which started on September 27, 2023, the premium of plots has been fixed, ranging from Rs 28.17 crore to Rs 176 crore, while the registration fee of plots has been fixed according to different categories, between Rs 2.81 crore and Rs 17.67 crore.

The rate allotment per square metre (sqm) for plotting number D-1, measuring Rs 1.25 lakh sqm, in Greater Noida’s Sector 28 has been fixed at Rs 12,786. On this, the registration amount, as per 10% Preferential Location Charge (PLC) has been fixed at rs 17.67 crore. Meanwhile, the total premium has been fixed at Rs 176.63 crore (including PLC). The information related to the vacant plots for the Data Center Project in the remaining four categories has been shared on the websites of Yeida and Invest UP. Information about the sector, plot area, rate of allotment per sqm, registration amount, PLC and total premium has been provided.

Due to proximity to Jewar Airport, Yamuna Expressway, International Film City and Buddha Circuit, those setting up industrial units by taking a plot will get the benefit of all the facilities, including better connectivity and the first Pod Transit System in India. Interested applicants can apply for plots in this project until October 26, 2023. For any further information or clarification, an email can be sent to YEIDA’s email ID at [email protected].

For this project, Yeida has partnered with the Bank of Baroda, which will be handling the application and banking operations. Whether the beneficiaries are chosen through a draw process or an auction, there is minimal scope for human interference, ensuring the selection of the most eligible applicants after thorough and impartial assessment.
