UP govt plans Rs 200 cr Lakshman Path in Ayodhya

The proposal for the construction of this road has been submitted to the state govt for approval.

The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government is planning to build a new four-lane road in Ayodhya named Lakshman Path. This 12-km-long infrastructure project is estimated to cost Rs 200 crore and aims to boost connectivity to Ayodhya, especially as the completion of Ram Mandir approaches. A comprehensive action plan has been created for the construction of this new Lakshman Path, which will span between Rajghat and Guptarghat, running parallel to the Udaya Harishchandra Ghat embankment.

The proposed design of Lakshman Path has a width of 18 metre. SP Bharti, the executive engineer of construction unit II of provincial block PWD, is overseeing the Lakshman Path project. The proposal for the construction of this new four-lane passage has been submitted to the state government for approval. The construction work will begin immediately after the approval is granted. The UP government has already constructed the Janmabhoomi Path, the Dharma Path and the Bhakti Path, while the construction of the 13-km-long Rama Path between Sahadatganj and Naya Ghat is progressing rapidly.
