UP RERA issues guidelines to file complaints and documents on portal

Check out the guidelines issued by UP RERA for complainants and respondents.

Under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, complaints to be made to the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) or the adjudicating officer can be filed online on the UP RERA portal. However, complainants and respondents are not adhering to correct document format that results in delay in disposing of cases.

Hence, the UP RERA has issued guidelines to be followed by both complainants and respondents while filing a complaint and uploading the supporting documents.

  • The PDF documents being uploaded by both the parties in the online complaint form should be scanned using a scanner machine. If you are using mobile, the document should be placed on a flat surface, scanned using a scanner app and then uploaded.
  • File size that can be uploaded on the UP RERA site is 3MB.
  • If the size of documents exceeds this, then compress the documents. Once done, open the document, verify and upload.
