What is UP Road Tax?

The government of Uttar Pradesh levies a road tax on vehicles to earn revenue for the expense of maintaining highway infrastructure. Road tax is calculated as a proportion of your vehicle’s total cost, considering several different criteria.

To make their contribution, all vehicle owners must pay this tax, calculated using the vehicle’s “ex-showroom price.” They must make this payment to the relevant Regional Transport Office responsible for registering their vehicle. In some circumstances, the jurisdictional authority may also levy road tolls.
