UP scholarship renewal is the easiest way to renew the existing scholarship amount provided to candidates who belong to Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh provides various scholarships to students every year to pursue their pre and post-matric level education. Community is no bar when it comes to providing scholarships to students in UP- SC, ST, OBC, and general category candidates can apply for scholarships by filling out an application form online.

What is the need for UP scholarship renewal? 

The Uttar Pradesh government provides an exclusive opportunity to the students of the state who are either financially weak or belong to a reserved category in the form of scholarships. These scholarships cover the fee of one academic year of a student. Further, as per the performance of the candidate, these scholarships get renewed. Therefore, this helps the government provide a fair opportunity to scholars and helps them keep track of their academic performance.

UP scholarship renewal: What documents does a candidate need?

The documents for a fresh application and UP scholarship renewal are the same.

• Passport size photograph of the student
• State certificate/ domicile proof
• Community/caste certificate
• Income proof
• Adhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. (Residence proof)
• Student ID
• Marksheet of the previous examination
• Current year’s fee statements
• Passbook of candidate’s bank account

UP scholarship renewal: What is the procedure? 

The process of UP scholarship renewal and fresh application are almost similar. However, there are a few steps that differ.

•  Visit https://scholarship.up.gov.in/index.aspx.

• Click the ‘Students’ section and hover over the ‘Renewal Login’ option.
• Select the valid option from the renewal options available on the online portal.
• Use the login details and click ‘Submit’.
• Read the terms and conditions carefully and click on the next button.
• Fill in the UP scholarship renewal form.
• Upload all necessary documents.
• Click on the submit button after previewing the application form.

NOTE: Once the form is submitted online, the candidate needs to submit the hardcopy of the UP Scholarship Renewal Form along with all the documents attached with it to his educational institution’s office.
