East

West

North

Northeast

The northeast, also known as Ishan corner in Vastu, is considered an auspicious direction for designing a home mandir. One can consider the northeast direction if other directions are unavailable.

South

According to Vastu, the south direction is considered a high-energy zone and an indicator of time. This direction is associated with the fire element. • Door: Avoid placing a New Year calendar behind the door of a house. Moreover, the new year calendar should not be placed near the main door of a house as it can hinder the progress of the family members.
