Those who live in West Bengal but attend one of the approved educational institutions outside of the state, as the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation may notify them from time to time, are also welcome to apply.
Each applicant must prove that they are legal residents of West Bengal.
The candidate will need to have been accepted into a relevant technical or professional program.
The candidate must have received a passing grade of 50% or above on their most recent high school or university-level test.

Talent Support Stipend

Students currently enrolled in Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in state-funded educational institutions are eligible.
The maximum annual income that a family may earn has been capped at a total of Rs. 2,50,000.
It is required that the candidate be enrolled in classes between XI and XII.
Alternately, the candidate has to be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in one of the following fields: engineering, medicine, or a technical or professional field in addition to general degree programs at the undergraduate or graduate level.
