What makes Maharashtra’s Tadoba National Park special?

It is one of the biggest parks in Maharashtra.

Tadoba National Park is a magnificent wildlife sanctuary in Maharashtra’s centre. Not only is it one of Maharashtra’s biggest and oldest national parks, having been established in 1955, but it also serves as a flourishing haven for India’s magnificent tigers. Covering an area of 116.55 sq km, Tadoba’s dry deciduous woods provide refuge to at least 80 tigers, as part of a bigger landscape that is home to over 200 tigers – the nation’s fastest-growing tiger population!

But Tadoba is not only about tigers. These forests are home to dholes, leopards, and a diverse range of herbivores, including sambar, chital, wild pigs, and gaurs, which together create a rich tapestry of life.
