Yeida to launch portal to provide real-time project details

The estimated cost of this project is Rs 60 crore.

June 30, 2023: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has started the process for implementation of an advanced enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to provide all relevant details of construction projects in its area. This ERP solution is being implemented to bring transparency to the authority’s functioning as the public will be easily able to access crucial information.

The estimated cost of this project is Rs 60 crore. One of the primary features of the ERP will be to introduce a file management system, information on pending files with respective officials and their duration. Moreover, it will provide stakeholders with access to real-time progress of projects, including work completed, work yet to be done and future projections. The ERP’s comprehensive file management system will enable online tracking of pending files and how long they have been with their respective officials.

According to the officials, the implementation of this ERP solution will facilitate online processes for activities like map approvals, property transfers, and acquiring completion certificates. With the help of this portal, Yeida is aiming to streamline procedures, increase convenience for farmers and allottees and eliminate the need for submitting physical copies of challans for payment verification.

The ERP will also implement a geographic information system (GIS) map to provide information related to vacant lands within the authority’s jurisdiction and identify encroached areas. Furthermore, this system will facilitate online disposal of complaint letters and other mail to streamline communication channels.

YEIDA will likely float a request for proposal (RFP) by this week and invite companies to apply within a 21-day deadline. There will be a pre-bid meeting to address all queries and concerns of interested parties. The selected company will be given a 30-year contract, which will include maintenance responsibilities. A similar ERP solution has already been implemented in the Greater Noida Authority.
