Earlier, the scheme was open from July 1 to July 31, 2025. The extension will allow the residents to clear their outstanding property tax dues without penalty and interest. The scheme received an overwhelming response, and the municipal councils in Mohali district recorded total collections of Rs 21.85 crore in pending property tax dues till August 1, 2025. Zirakpur Municipal Council led the collections by depositing Rs 13.59 crore.
