Housing.com has always been about great people creating great products. The talent and creativity that have driven the company since its founding as India’s first map-based property search portal have also led to market-leading innovations such as aerial views, price heat maps, and verified photos of each and every listing. We didn’t just want to build a website, but a powerful tool for people to find houses they’ll love! We believe in helping our users find homes, not just places to stay, and in making that journey as simple and enjoyable as possible.
Part of that has always been about creating designs that resonate with our users. And if we’re going to do something, we do it the best it can be done! Our design team has always focused on bringing in those designers who’re crazy about doing work that makes them proud. With that amazing talent in mind, we’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of Housing’s new Design Studio in Delhi.
At Housing, we think product design should cover the entire spectrum: our team works to understand the needs and behaviours of our users, and then applies that data to craft not just world class products, but truly meaningful experiences for our users. Designers work across disciplines, including research, strategies, analytics, process flows and visuals: it’s about razor sharp detail at each step of the journey, and not just the (fantastic) end product 
‘The idea behind this Design Lab is the desire to create styles driven by our passion and not just functionality,” says Suvonil Chatterjee’, the Design Head at Housing. “We’re excited at the new talent that’s been knocking on our doors. We’ve always seen Delhi as a major design hub and, when we enter the city, we hope to take ourselves to the cutting edge and beyond.”
Since our inception, we’ve strived to create a workplace that is comfortable and fun, encouraging enthusiasm in everything that we do. We want our Delhi office to epitomise that attitude with a fresh, vibrant look and feel, open spaces allowing collaboration, and a cool location in one of the city’s trendiest neighbourhoods.
“What makes a Harley Davidson really special?” Suvonil, asked. “The exquisitely designed twin V engine at its core, which creates a beautiful, distinctive thumping sound, as its power surges the bike ahead! That’s what product design does at the core of housing — and with our new studio in Delhi, we’ll create those unique, beautiful ripples as we power ahead of the competition.”
