Metro Water Booking: Is there a deadline for paying?

Easy steps to book water in Chennai

  1. Go to the CMWSSB website (chennaimetrowater.tn.gov.in/) and click on the “Book a Water Tanker” option.

  1. You will be redirected to a page called “Dial for Water 2.0.” 

 

  1. Read the instructions carefully and register with your mobile number. 

 

  1. Once registered, you can book a water tanker with your number.

 

  1. On the Chennai metro water online booking page, you can choose your delivery date and the amount of water (6KL and 9KL for non-multistoried buildings, and 9KL, 12KL and 16KL for multistoried buildings).

 

  1. Proceed to payment to finalise your booking. Ensure to complete the payment within 15 minutes. You can use several payment methods, such as credit or debit cards, net banking, etc.

 

  1. Once the payment is successful, you will get a confirmation message with your booking ID.

Steps to check your Water Booking Status

  1. Visit the “Dial for Water 2.0” page.
  2. Enter your mobile and booking number to check your status.
  3. You can check your status and download the payment receipt.

 

A few things to remember

  • Once you book your water, you cannot cancel the request.
  • The request will be fulfilled within three days if the water is delivered after the given date due to unavoidable circumstances.
  • Upon booking, you will receive a PIN to provide to the lorry driver on arrival.
  • You cannot book water for five days after your last delivery.
