January 25, 2024: The Telangana anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on January 24, 2024 found assets worth Rs 100 crore and Rs 40 lakh cash from the house of Shiva Balakrishna, secretary of Telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TSRERA). Gold over 2 kg, properties and bank desposits, 14 phones and 10 laptops have been recovered until now as part of the search.
According to media reports, around 14 teams conducted searches on premises linked to Balakrishna. The search started at around 5 AM on January 24 and is likely to continue on January 25 also.
Before working with TSRERA, Balakrishna was former director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
