Bangalore Airport: Terminals

There are two terminals which are currently in service under Bangalore airport.

Terminal 1

This terminal alone can handle 20 million passengers annually. There are two lounges in Terminal 1, the 080 domestic lounge and the 080 international lounge. Terminal 1 is the main passenger passage where commuters take domestic and international flights. A four-level building, it has world-tech amenities like a web check-in facility, an AI robot named Temi, a lounge area, excellent baggage services, and duty-free shopping. In a day, the airport can handle the movement of 721 aircraft. This terminal handles only domestic flights operated by Indigo, Akasa Air, Alliance Air, and SpiceJet from 12 September.

Terminal 2

Terminal 2 also known as the Garden City, was constructed by Larsen and Toubro and was inaugurated on 11 November 2022. This terminal will carry an additional 25 million passengers annually. Terminal 2 is also the first greenfield airport terminal operated by a public-private partnership. On 12 September 2023, this terminal started operations for internal flights. In addition to handling all international operations, Terminal 2 also handles domestic flights operated by Air India, AIX Connect, Vistara, and Star Air.

The baggage facility is available on the first floor of the airport. On the same level, luggage trolleys, wheelchairs, and assistance for senior citizens and disabled people are available. Also, you can find a baggage wrapping machine to make your luggage safer.

There are many places where you can easily eat and sit while you wait for your departure. If you wish to have a relaxing time, then you can go to the Lounge area. Bangalore Airport has three lounges- the Kingfisher Lounge, the Oberoi Lounge, and The Leela Lounge.
