Indian Hypermarket chain DMart’s parent company Avenue Supermarts that is led by Radhakishan Damani has acquired a land parcel spread across 52,000 sqft in Chandivali, Andheri (East), as per documents accessed by CREMatrix, mentioned an ET report.
According to CREMatrix, the agreement value for the land is around Rs 117.25 crore. A stamp duty of Rs 7.03 crore was paid by Avenue Supermarts and the deal was registered on May 6, 2024. The property that has been purchased now falls in the industrial zone and has a ground plus one structure.
Founded in 2002, DMart opened its first flagship store in Powai. Today, the supermarket is present in close to 333 locations including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and National Capital Region.
