FAQs

Do I need a co-applicant to get an Axis Bank home loan?

If you want to apply, you will need a co-applicant. Home loan applications must include at least one co-applicant who is also a co-owner of the property.

Does applying for a home loan from Axis Bank cost anything?

Yes. Processing costs are 1% of the remaining principal plus GST. At application registration, a Rs 5,000 processing fee, including GST, is due. This cost will not be returned in cases like loan rejection/withdrawal or non-disbursement due to client error. Balance processing charge due upon loan distribution.

What is the pre-EMI interest?

The interest accrued by the borrower before the first EMI payment is due is called pre-EMI interest. From the first disbursement date until the EMI payments begin, interest will accrue monthly.

When determining my EMI, what factors will be used?

The yearly EMI is made up of the loan's principal plus interest accrued so far. It is determined by thinking about how much money was borrowed, how long it took to pay it back, and how much interest was charged. As the interest rate on a loan fluctuates or as the principal is repaid in instalments, so may the EMI. Each and every month, a portion of the EMI is used toward the payment of the interest that is due, while the remaining amount is applied toward the repayment of the principal.

Is it possible to begin making EMI payments on a partially funded Home Loan?

Yes! The yearly EMI is the sum of the loan's principal plus the yearly interest rate applied to the unpaid principal balance. Since you have only received a substantial part of your financing, the interest segment of the EMI will be reduced accordingly.

What is the date when my EMI payment is due?

The day when the EMI is due will remain consistent each month. You will be informed of this date when the funds from your loan are distributed.

Do I qualify for a tax deduction for the Axis Bank home loan?

Yes, according to the Income Tax Act, permanent Indians are qualified to get tax advantages on both the principle and the interest on a home loan they have taken out. For more information, please see your tax professional.

Is it possible to make a partial prepayment on the Axis Bank Home Loan?

Your local Axis Bank Centre accepts partial prepayments on home loans. If your interest rate is variable, you won't have to pay anything more. Please verify the appropriate fee if you are currently receiving a fixed interest rate.

Can I choose from a variety of interest rates on a home loan from Axis Bank?

Yes. For your convenience, Axis Bank provides two types of interest rates, both fixed and floating.
