September 27, 2023: The consecration ceremony for the Ayodhya Ram Temple will take place on January 22 of 2024, temple construction committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra told news agency PTI on September 26. The construction of the ground floor of the three-storey temple is expected to be completed by December this year, Mishra said in his interview with the new agency.
Prime minister Narendra Modi will also attend the pran-partisha (consecration ceremony) ceremony that will start from January 20 and continue till January 24, Mishra said, adding that the Prime Minister’s Office has yet to confirm the date and timing of Modi’s visit to the grand temple. During the pran-partisha ceremony, the idol of Ram Lalla will be installed in the sanctum- sanctorum (garbha-griha) of the temple.
