Bihar ration card list: All you need to know

Here is a complete guide on how you can apply for Bihar Ration Card, eligibility, types of ration cards, and related information.

Under the National Food Act, the governments of all states are required to provide rations at subsidised rates to the people. The government has made having ration cards compulsory to get rations from ration shops. Financial assistance of 1,000 INR is provided to the cardholder, regardless of whether they hold a BPL or an APL card. To avail of the ration card facilities, one needs to make sure their name is added to the list.

Bihar Ration Card

The Bihar government has devised the Ration Card Management System or Jan Vitran Ann (JVA), an online system to create ration cards for eligible families. Through the Bihar ration card website, you can apply for new ration cards, check your name in the Bihar ration card list, download your ration card, register a complaint, and more.

Rations are provided only to those with their names on the ration card list. You can check your name on the list through the Suchi website. Visiting government offices is not mandatory to check out the new ration card list. The Bihar ration card list can be checked online. The ration card Bihar list is revised yearly (for example, the Bihar ration card list 2020 was revised to display the Bihar ration card list for 2021).
