UP Ration Card List

The Uttar Pradesh ration card list is released every year by the food and supplies department of Uttar Pradesh. The list is updated every year. People with their names on the list can check the same online, and they can also get basic commodities like wheat, rice, sugar and kerosene at subsidised rates. 

UP Ration Card List: Purpose

Earlier, people had to put in both money and effort in order to get access to the list by travelling to government offices. Now, the people need not do that. The list has been made available on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh government as well as the website of the food and supplies department. This also helps ensure complete transparency in the system while helping citizens get access to the list from wherever possible. 

 

UP Ration Card List: Eligibility

A person or a family will be ineligible to hold a ration card if: 

  • Annual income of any family member is above Rs 3,00,000 in urban and Rs 2,00,000 in rural areas.
  • The family pays income tax on their earnings.
  • The family owns a house, floor or commercial space.
  • The family owns a four-wheeler, tractor, harvester or air conditioner.

Anyone who falls in any of the above categories will have to return their ration card. Failure to do so may lead to penalisation, and the fine will have to be paid from the day the person starts taking ration. 

Ration cards can be returned to the block office or district administration. Failure to do so will result in a fine that is Rs 24 for 1 kg wheat and Rs 32 for 1 kg rice.

Uttar Pradesh APL/BPL Ration card list

People below the poverty line can apply for the BPL ration card list. Those above the poverty line can apply for an APL ration card. For people whose names do not feature on the list despite being eligible for it, they can apply through both online and offline methods. 

Families which are eligible for availing of the benefits of the ration card should apply for the same at the earliest.

  • BPL Ration Card: For families below the poverty line, this card helps them buy grains up to 25kgs at subsidised rates. The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 10,000.
  • APL Ration Card: This card is for families above the poverty line; they can buy up to 15kgs of grain from ration shops at subsidised rates. 
  • AAY Ration Card: This card is for families with no source of income. These families can buy up to 35kgs of grain from the shop at subsidised rates.

  • If someone’s name is to be added, then the photocopy of their Aadhar card

  • On the homepage of the official website, click on the eligibility list of NFSA options.

  • On the next page, select the mode by which you wish to search. That is, by ration card number or any other.

  • If you select the ration card number, another form opens up. Enter your ration card number and click on submit after entering the captcha code.
  • The eligibility list will open in front of you.

UP Ration Card List: Migrants’ eligibility list

  • On the home page, click on the option of List of Migrants Blocked under the self-reliant India scheme.

  • Select your district.
  • Select the gram panchayat. 
  • A list of shopkeepers opens up. Click on the one you are registered with.
  • You can now see the eligibility list.

  • Select the district in the new window.
  • The application form opens up. 
  • Fill in the relevant details carefully in the application form.
