The Chandigarh Bird Park is a project of the department of forest and wildlife, Chandigarh that is aimed at promoting bird conservation. The Bird Park Chandigarh is located at Nagar Van behind Sukhna Lake.
The park is home to nearly 550 exotic birds, representing 48 different species. These include aquatic, terrestrial, and tamed birds, all living harmoniously in their designated spaces.
The African Love Birds, the Budgerigars, the Swans, the Wood Ducks, the Golden Pheasants and the Macaws are birds found here.

Bird Park Chandigarh: The habitat design
The Chandigarh Bird Park cages offer ample space for each bird, with a remarkable flying height of 58 ft and a total ground area of approximately 200 x 150 ft for both terrestrial and aquatic birds.
The park is designed with thousands of plants of varying canopies, providing birds with food, shelter and freedom to fly and breed. This structure is believed to be the tallest in the country in the domain of aviaries.
