May 12, 2023: In a move that would speed-up the property registration process in the union territory, Chandigarh’s information technology department has tied up with the Stock Holding Corporation of India to introduced e-registration service through Sampark centres.
After the launch of the facility which took place on May 11, those registering properties online in the UT will be able to use these services for Rs 40 for one transaction.
There are 45 Sampark centres across Chandigargh ─ 22 of these will operate Sunday to Friday and the remaining 23 from Monday to Saturday.
Sampark centres located at sectors 7, 10, 18, 23, 27, 34, 35, 37, 40, 45 and 48, Manimajra, Daria, Dadumajra, Behlana, Dhanas (Panchayat Bhawan), Kaimbwala, Khuda Ali Sher, Khuda Jassu, Raipur Khurd, Maloya and Vikas Nagar will follow the Sunday to Friday schedule.
Sampark centres located at sectors 1, 12, 15, 17 (DC office), 17 (Treasury), 20, 21, 22, 26, 32, 38, 39, 41, 43, 43 (district court) and 47, industrial area, Phase-1, Hallomajra, Makhanmajra, Raipur Kalan, Sarangpur, Dhanas (community centre) and Dadumajra Colony (community centre) will follow the Monday-Saturday schedule.
