The Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd Shiksha Daan foundation is responsible for initiating the “keep India smiling fundamental scholarship initiative,” which is also often referred to as the “Colgate scholarship.” The Colgate scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have shown academic excellence and who are enrolled in classes ranging from grade XI to the undergraduate level. 

By providing students with financial aid, mentoring, and advice on their future careers, the program reduces the likelihood that students will quit school. Colgate scholarship: Eligibility criteria

Students who are currently enrolled in class XI, certificate, undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Engineering [BE] degree, or vocational programs are eligible to apply for financial assistance under the Colgate keep India smiling foundation scholarship scheme 2022. 

In addition to that, the organisation provides scholarship possibilities to those who participate in athletics and people who volunteer their time to assist others. 

The following is a list of the core Colgate scholarship program offered by the keep India smiling organisation:

Class XI

Eligibility

• In order to be eligible for the keep India smiling Colgate scholarship program, students in their eleventh year of school must satisfy the following requirements:
• They are expected to do well on class X standardised test in 2022.
• They should have obtained a grade of at least 75% in the tenth-grade examinations that they took.
• The annual income of the household shouldn’t be more than Rs 500,000 .

What do you get?

Students who are chosen to participate in the Colgate Smile Scholarship Program will each earn Rs 20,000 for each of the next two years.

Three-year undergraduate degree or diploma courses

Eligibility

• In 2022, the applicants were expected to have completed the state examination for the 12th grade.
• It should take three years to complete both the diploma and the bachelor’s degree for an undergraduate programme.
• They should have received a score of at least 60 percent or higher on Class XII standardised tests.
• The annual income of the household shouldn’t be more than Rs 500,000.

What do you get?

Candidates who want to get a certificate or an undergraduate degree will be awarded Rs 30,000 each year for each of the first three years of their education.

• Engineering degrees

Eligibility

• The students should have been able to complete the class XII test with a score of at least sixty percent.
• Their yearly household income shouldn’t be more than Rs 500,000.
• The duration of the degree program needs to be for four years.

What do you get?

The Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology students who are chosen to participate will each get Rs 30,000 each year for a total of four years.

Young athletes

Eligibility

• The candidates should have participated at the local, state, or national level during the last two to three years, and they should have previously represented either the district, the state, or the country.
• They must have achieved a rating among the top 500 at the national level, within the top 100 at the state level, or within the top 10 at the district level.
• Candidates should be between the ages of 9 and 16 years old at the very most.
• The annual income of a family shouldn’t be more than Rs 50,000.

What do you get?

The chosen athletes will each receive a grant of Rs 75,000 per year for a total of three years from the organisation.

Individuals helping others

Eligibility

• The applicants should work with a group of disadvantaged youngsters either as teachers or as coaches of various sports.
• They should be classified as a member of a group in society that has a low or moderate income.

What do you get?

The scholarship program will award a total of Rs 75,000 over two years to the individuals who were chosen.

Colgate scholarship: Application process

• Candidates may submit their applications for the scholarship online by visiting the official website of the Colgate Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship.
• They may begin the application process for the Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship by clicking the “apply now” button on the program’s website.
• The system will send the applicants to a webpage where they may submit their applications. They should scroll down until they see the “apply now” button, and then click on it.
• The applicants have two options for registering: either by integrating their Facebook or Google account or by providing their email address or cell phone number, or by filling out the registration form. Candidates are required to enter the one-time password (OTP) that was provided to their registered cellphone number to finish the registration procedure.
• Clicking “start application” will allow applicants, after their registration has been verified as valid, to submit their applications for the Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship Program.
• They should apply for a scholarship via Colgate by filling out the application form and uploading the required papers.
• Candidates are expected to read the terms and conditions, tick the box indicating their assent to them, and then click the “preview” button.
• After doing the last check using the Colgate scholarship application online, they are free to send in their submission.

Colgate scholarship: Documents required
