Must-know facts

What is an eway bill login?

An e way bill or electronic-way bill is required for the transportation of goods worth over Rs 50,000 from one place to another. In some cases, an e way bill must be generated, even if the value of goods to be transported is less than Rs 50,000. Such instances include inter-state movement of goods by the principal to the job worker or by the registered job worker to the principal. This is also true for inter-state transportation of handicrafts by a dealer exempted from the Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration.

Apart from helping the government to generate tax, the e-way bill system helps track various business activities. E-way bills were made compulsory for inter-state transportation of goods from 2018.
