May 21, 2024: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on May 20, 2021, announced intensified measures against illegal constructions in its notified areas, issuing notices to approximately 350 individuals. These notices demand the removal of illegal structures or face demolition.
Of the 350 notices, 250 were directed at encroachments, with 176 in Haibatpur’s submergence area along the Hindon River banks, and the rest in Sunpura village. The GNIDA has consistently informed the public that construction in these notified areas requires its explicit permission.
To combat encroachment effectively, Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar initiated a campaign to dismantle unauthorized structures. Before proceeding with demolitions, the GNIDA issued these notices, mandating immediate removal of the illegal constructions. Additional CEO Annapurna Garg emphasized that construction in notified areas without approval is prohibited, warning of strict actions against violators.
