HDFC login netbanking facility: Features and benefits

  • Check account balance: Users can use the HDFC bank online banking facility to check and download their account statements for the past five years.
  • Funds transfer: Customers can easily and safely transfer funds online through various methods like RTGS and NEFT. One can register for ‘Third Party Transfer’ or use this facility to transfer money to any HDFC bank account or non-HDFC bank account.
  • Avail other banking services: Various bank-related transactions can be done, and services can be availed using the net banking platform, such as requests for a new cheque book / demand draft, hotlist one’s debit/credit card, requests for stopping payment of a cheque, request to re-generate debit card PIN, etc.

Procedure to register for HDFC netbanking

If you have a savings account with HDFC Bank, you can easily register for the HDFC Bank’s netbanking facility online. The registration can be done in different ways, such as through mobile banking, an ATM or by downloading the form.

Persons with an active mobile number can use the net banking facility. To activate the internet banking services, one must follow the steps below:

  • Go to the HDFC netbanking login page at https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/
  • Click on the link ‘Register Now’ provided for first-time users
  • You will be directed to the netbanking.hdfcbank.com registration page https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/registrationUsingOTP.htm
  • Provide the customer ID in the required field. Click on ‘Go’.
  • Enter the one-time password (OTP) you will get on your mobile number.
  • Choose and give relevant details of your HDFC debit card.
  • On the next page, you will get the option to set your HDFC login netbanking IPIN.
  • Now access the HDFC netbanking login page and sign in using your Customer ID and the IPIN.

 

Registration through phone banking

  • To get access to the HDFC login netbanking facility, customers should contact the HDFC phone banking number in their respective cities.
  • They will be required to provide their Customer ID and HDFC debit card + PIN / telephone identification number (TIN).
  • The representative for HDFC phone banking will note the net banking registration request and start the process.
  • The net banking IPIN will be delivered to the registered mailing address within five working days.

 

Registration through downloading the form online and completing the process offline

  • Go to the HDFC login netbanking portal.
  • Download the net banking registration form (corporate or individual as applicable).
  • Complete the form and visit any HDFC Bank branch to submit it.
  • The request will be registered, and the bank will send the IPIN through courier to the registered mailing address.

 

Registration through ATM

  • Visit any HDFC Bank ATM
  • Submit the HDFC Bank debit card number and ATM PIN
  • On the main screen, choose ‘Other Option’.
  • Now, select the ‘Net Banking Registration’ option. Confirm the action in the next step.
  • The request will be registered, and the bank will send the IPIN through courier to the registered mailing address

HDFC netbanking: Transfer funds online

Online funds transfer is one of the services customers can avail through the hdfcnetbankinglogin facility. One can make third-party funds transfers or transfer funds to their HDFC accounts online.

To perform third-party transfers, customers must follow the steps given below:

*Complete the HDFC netbanking login procedure

*On the home page, click on the ‘Funds Transfer’ option from the main menu.

*Select your preferred mode of funds transfer

*In the next step, select the account for transferring funds, and enter the beneficiary details, amount, etc. Click on continue to the OTP verification step and complete the funds transfer.

 

Various methods to transfer funds online

The different modes of funds transfer are explained below:

  • IMPS (Immediate Payment Service): Through the IMPS method, one can immediately transfer funds to another HDFC account or other bank accounts. This facility is available even on bank holidays.
  • NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer): One can use NEFT to transfer money to other banks, up to a maximum of Rs 50 lakh, subject to a limit of Rs 2 lakh per transaction. Before transferring the funds, it is necessary to add a beneficiary.
  • RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement): Through RTGS, money can be transferred to a beneficiary’s bank account within the stipulated time set by the RBI. One should add the account to which money is being transferred as a beneficiary before the transaction. A minimum of Rs 2 lakh and a maximum of Rs 50 lakh can be transferred through this mode.
  • Online merchant payment mode: This method can be used to transfer funds online except for paying tax or making payments towards mutual funds or stockbrokers.
  • Visa Card Pay: Customers can use this method to transfer money from their bank account to a Visa credit card across India. One should add the credit card account as a beneficiary. Funds get transferred within two working days.
  • Through customer IDs: HDFC account holders can transfer funds immediately from their HDFC account to other HDFC accounts using different customer IDs.

  • Enter the customer ID.

  • Verify your secure access ID.
  • Click on ‘Login’ button to sign in to the HDFC netbanking portal.

 

HDFC netbanking: How to reset forgot password?

  • Go to the HDFC netbanking login page.
  • Enter your customer ID.
  • Click on ‘Forgot Password / IPIN’ button.
  • Provide your User ID / Customer ID in the given field. Click on ‘Go’ button.
  • Choose any of the given options:
    • OTP on registered mobile number, debit card PIN and expiry date.
    • OTP sent to the registered mobile number and email ID (it is not applicable for resident senior citizen customers).
  • Submit the required details.
  • Set the new IPIN.
  • You can sign into the portal using the user ID and new IPIN.

 

HDFC netbanking: How to pay credit card bills online?

  • Log in to the HDFC login netbanking portal.
  • Use your credit card ATM PIN to link credit card to your net banking account.
  • Go to the ‘Funds Transfer’ section or ‘Credit Card’ section to transfer money.

 

HDFC netbanking: How to check HDFC balance online?

  • Go to the HDFC netbanking login page and sign into the portal.
  • On the home page, click on ‘Accounts’ from the main menu.
  • Click on ‘Account Summary’.
  • The account holder’s different accounts will be displayed on the page.
  • Choose the account for which you wish to view details. The account details, including the available balance, will be displayed.
