January 3, 2024: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on January 1, 2024, marked the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony for 13 development projects in the Kullu district, collectively valued at Rs 197.93 crore. Among the inaugurated projects were the Rs 20 crore Subzi Mandi Bandrol and a double-lane bridge over the River Beas at Raison, amounting to Rs 9.07 crore. Additionally, a steel truss bridge connecting the link road between Burwa and Shanag over the River Beas at Nehru Kund (Bahang) was dedicated, with a completion cost of Rs 6.44 crore.
The chief minister also unveiled RCCT-beam bridges over Jagatsukh Nalla (Rs 4.07 crore) and Chakki Nallah (Rs 3.37 crore). Other projects included the inauguration of the Rs 20 lakh Vivekananda Library at Patlikuhl, a Rs 7.83 crore eco-friendly market at Manali’s Marhi Tehsil, wayside amenities at Solangnalla (Rs 54 lakh) and the Ayurvedic Health Centre building at Sajla (Rs 29 lakh). Furthermore, foundation stones were laid for crucial projects, including the Rs 130.18 crore maintenance and tarring of Babeli Jindour Road, the Rs 3.59 crore Bandrol Didari Sharan Road and the Rs 1.49 crore Flain to Grahan Road.
In a significant move towards infrastructure development, chief minister Sukhu also inaugurated the Rs 10.86 crore flood protection work along the right bank of the River Beas, specifically catering to Village Katrain, 15-mile Baragran Bihal and adjacent areas.
