HDFC Bank allows you to transfer money to other HDFC Bank accounts or accounts at other banks. Putting money into an account may be done in a variety of ways. In a nutshell, IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS are all ways to make instantaneous payments between different banks. You must first designate your friend’s account as a beneficiary before proceeding with any method. The article below will walk you through the five simple procedures needed to choose a beneficiary for your account.

Adding the “beneficiary” and providing the person’s bank account information is necessary for transferring payments to the intended recipient. Adding a bank ‘beneficiary’ to your account is necessary if you wish to transfer funds from your HDFC Bank account to another HDFC Bank account. Once the ‘beneficiary’ has been added as a fellow customer of the same bank, funds may be sent directly from your account to theirs. You’ll need the internet banking feature on your account for this.

How to add beneficiary in HDFC bank with net banking?

  • First, use your net banking ID and password to log in. Next, choose “Funds Transfer” followed by “Request”, and then “Add a Beneficiary”.
  • In Net Banking, under “Funds Transfer,” choose the “Transaction Type” drop-down menu, and then click the “GO” button.
  • Third, choose an account and a beneficiary, and fill out the required fields (for new beneficiaries, provide their account number, bank, and branch IFSC code).
  • Confirm if everything is proper, and the procedure may be completed.
  • When you click the “Submit” button, an OTP is sent to the phone number and email address you provided during registration. Verify the amount by entering the OTP. Then, you contact HDFC Bank and successfully submit a request to add a beneficiary.
  • If your request is accepted by the bank, the beneficiary will be added. It typically takes the bank half an hour to accept a request after it has been made. A transaction may be made, and money can be sent to the recipient within one hour.

How to add beneficiary in HDFC Bank for intra bank transcations?

  • You may learn more about HDFC Bank by checking out their website.
  • To access your account, please provide your username (customer ID) and password (IPIN)
  • Find the “Payments & Transfers” option in the main menu.
  • To change who receives money from your account, go to the “Payments & Transfers” section and click “Manage Beneficiary.”
  • Next, choose the Intra Bank option (if the recipient has an account with HDFC Bank).
  • Select the “Add Payee” tab.
  • Complete the appropriate columns with the Payee’s or Beneficiary’s information, including but not limited to:
  • Name of Beneficiary
  • Account Number
  • Bank Name
  • Branch Name
  • IFSC Code
  • Please confirm your agreement to the terms and conditions by checking the box labelled “I Accept Terms and Conditions”.
  • Any button labeled “Confirm” or “Continue” should be clicked.
  • As an additional safety measure, a One-Time-Password (OTP) will be texted to your phone.
  • To verify the beneficiary’s registration, please enter the OTP.
  • Following that, the beneficiary will be added, and you will get a message that a beneficiary has been added.
  • In a matter of minutes or hours, the newly added recipient will become active.
  • As soon as the beneficiary has been set up, money may be sent to their account.
