MYSY scholarship: Objective
The scholarship was designed so that financially weak students can also get financial assistance for their studies in any field.
Under the MYSY scholarship program, economically backward students receive financial assistance for the purchase of books, tools, and necessary aids for their education.
- All students from different categories can apply for this scholarship program.
- There is age relaxation for different categories.

- All students who are unable to continue their studies will receive financial assistance of 1,200 rupees per month for 10 months to improve their education.
- All students will receive study materials, uniforms, and other items in addition to the stipend.
- All students who have achieved 80% marks in 10th and 12th grade will receive either a scholarship of Rs.25,000 or 50% of the fees for the course they choose.
- Students who wish to apply for selection will be trained by experienced teachers under this program.

MYSY scholarship: Eligibility
- For scholarship in diploma courses, the candidate must have passed Std X from a recognised school in the state of Gujarat with at least 80 percent marks in the examination.
- For scholarship in undergraduate courses, candidates should have passed Std XII science.
- General subjects from a recognised school in the state of Gujarat with at least 80 percent marks in the examination.
- For students pursuing a diploma, the minimum criterion for availing of the program is 65% marks in the diploma examination from a recognised college in the state of Gujarat.
- The candidates whose parents have an annual income not exceeding Rs. 6,00,000 per annum are considered eligible only.
Tuition scholarship
- For admission to medical and dental programs in government-approved, self-financed institutes, the candidate is entitled to 50% of the approved annual tuition fees or Rs 2,00,000, whichever is lower.
- To take admission in courses like Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Ayurveda.
- For Homoeopathy, Paramedicine, or Veterinary medicine in government-recognized self-financing institutes, the applicant is eligible to pay 50% of the approved annual tuition fees or Rs 50,000, whichever is less.
- To take admission in studies like BSc, B.Com., B.A., B.B.A., or BCA graduate level program in government-recognized self-financing institutes, the candidate is eligible to pay 50% of the approved annual tuition fees or Rs 10,000, whichever is less.
- For admission to graduate-level programs in government-recognized self-financing institutes, candidates are eligible to receive 50% of the approved annual tuition fees or 25,000, whichever is less.
Room and board in residence
Graduate or diploma students who are not housed in a government/aid-funded hostel and reside outside their hometown Taluka will get a stipend of Rs. 1,200 per month. But the facility will be given for a maximum of 10 months.
Book and tools aid
One-time assistance for books and instruments during the first year of admission for the entire duration of the course is available as follows:
- Graduate students in Medicine and Dentistry are entitled to Rs. 10000.
- Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture degree students are entitled to Rs. 5000.
- Graduate students are eligible to receive Rs. 3000.

How to apply for MYSY scholarship?
To apply for the scholarship program, visit the official website of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana ( mysy.guj.nic.in)
- Once you see the official website, you need to tap on the option Sign up/Register for 2021-22.
- Then click on the needed option, and then click on the Fresh application option.
- You will directly go to a new page. Here you need to click on the new registration option.
- You will be required to enter your detailed information, such as admission, board, program of study, the year you graduated, seat number, and cell phone number, and then click on the request for the password option.
- You will get your password in your mobile number as well as in the email ID provided by you.
- Then log in with your information and enter the password created for you.
- After entering the password, click on the Login option, and you will be successfully logged into the website.
- On the new page, the application form will then open for you to fill in.
- Upload the required documents together with the application form, and after filling out the form, click the submit option.
MYSY scholarship renewal
- Visit the official website. You need to tap on the option Sign up.
- You will reach a new page where you will find out the new Renewal Application Option.
- You must enter the required data: Admission, university, programme of study, graduation year, MYSY application year, seat, and password.
- After entering the data, enter the captcha code as shown in the figure and then tap on the Login option.
- The application form will appear on the new page, where you have to put all the information here and save it.
