The plants have a capacity of about 3,610 thousand metric tonnes per annum. Acquiring a gas connection has become radically easier now, with the process being available both online and offline.

Depending on the strata of society you belong to or the documents that you have, there are a variety of forms that you can fill out.

HP gas connection: Locating distributors
- Visit the HP Gas distributor portal.
- Enter whether the SBU is LPG or retail.
- Enter your state of residence.
- Enter your district.
- Select ‘All option’ in the checkbox.
- Now, you can locate your distributor.
Getting a new HP Gas connection via the offline method
- Visit the HP gas centre near your area of residence.
- Show all the documents required to the HP gas distributor.
- Obtain a KYC form, fill it out and submit it back at the HP gas centre.
- This way, you can apply for a gas connection offline.
Getting a new HP Gas connection via the online method
- Visit the HP Gas registration portal.
- Keep your ID Card and address proof ready.
- If you do not have an identity card or address proof, you can register via the E-KYC facility. The only requirement for that is that your current phone number must be linked with your Aadhar ID.
- Now upload all the relevant documents and click on submit.
- You will now receive a reference number that can be used to track the application.
- Pay the fee for obtaining the gas connection.
- Enter the name of your distributor in the next step.
- This completes your application.
HP Gas connection: How to transfer your gas connection online
Transferring a connection signifies moving from one distributor to another due to a change in the area of residence. The process of doing the same online is as follows:
- Open the website, and the homepage opens up.
- Drop the list from the quick links column.
- Choose the HP Gas Customer Zone from the list.
- Select whether you are a current member or non-member.
- Get listed first and complete the process then, if you are a non-member. If you are an existing member, login to your account first.
- Fill out the transfer application and submit the same to complete the transfer process.
HP Gas connection: Offline transfer process
- Once you submit your transfer form to your distributor, you will get an e-CTA. This will act as the code of agreement in the creation of your subscription voucher.
- If you are transferring outside the city, you will receive a termination voucher, and you will have to surrender your cylinder. Your money will be reimbursed.
- Give your old consumer gas card to your new supplier, and they will help set up a new cylinder for you in the new location.

- Visit the official website.
- Click on Feedback/Compliant.
- Enter whether you are a consumer of HP or not.
- Enter your HP Gas LPG ID.
- Enter your state of residence.
- Enter your district of residence.

- Enter your complaint or feedback.
- Enter whether your complaint is a PAHAL issue or not.
HP Gas connection: Important information
- One household can possess only a single HP gas connection. Multiple connections are not permitted.
- You can get PNG and LPG both at the same time from HP gas, but the rates levied will be non-subsidized.
- A customer need not buy the stove from HP; they can get the stove on their own.
- Even when there is an emergency on a holiday, the customer can contact the emergency service cell.
- The customers are insured against all damage caused by accidents from HP gas equipment.
- HPCL also has a Public Liability Insurance Policy.
HP Gas connection: Safety tips
Rubber tubing
- The rubber tubing should have an ISI mark.
- The tubing should not be more than 1.5 metres in length.
- Make sure that it covers the nozzle completely.
- The tubing should be available for examination.
- Clean the tubing only with a wet cloth and nothing else.
- Do not cover the rubber tubing.
- Change it every two years or when it develops cracks or porosities, whichever is sooner.
Pressure regulator
It helps regulate the supply of the gas to the stove continuously. Thus, utmost care must be taken while handling the same.
When you can smell the gas
- Do not operate electrical switches.
- Turn off the stove.
- Switch off the regulator.
- Open all doors and windows.
- Call the emergency number of HP Gas if the smell still persists.
When disconnecting a cylinder
- Put out all the flames.
- Switch off the stove.
- Turn off the regulator before disconnecting.
- Detach the regulator from the valve on the cylinder. This is done by pulling the blush, that is, the black plastic locking ring.
- Place the Delrin plastic cap on the cylinder and push it down till you hear a click.
- Disconnect the cylinder.
When connecting a filled cylinder
- Remove the safety cap.
- Loft the cap of the valve of the cylinder.
- Check whether the sealing is present or not. Feel the sealing ring with the little finger.
- If absent, put the safety cap back on and get the cylinder replaced.
- Put the regulator on the filled cylinder if everything is in order.
