The IGR Maharashtra allows citizens to e-register the leave and license agreement on the IGR website at www.igrmaharashtra.gov.in. With this facility, a citizen can prepare an agreement, view its draft, modify, execute, submit it, get it registered online and check its status through an SMS. With this facility, one can get his/her documents registered anywhere, anytime without visiting the Sub- Registrar Office (SRO).

Leave and License agreement: Steps to follow
Under the online services section, click on e-leave and license. A dropdown box will open, select leave and license 1.9.
You will reach here:
Leave and license agreement: New entry
Under the new entry section, select the district of property to be registered under leave and license agreement. Create a password, confirm it, enter captcha, and click on next.
You need to enter the property details.
After entering the property number, district, Taluka, area, address, use of property, click on update. Once updated, next you should enter the party details.
Select the party type — licensor or owner. Then, enter the party details including surname, first name, age, PAN number, contact, occupation, address – you can enter in English or Marathi, UID number, e-mail ID and click on update.
Next fill in the rent and other terms. Click on update and view the draft document.
Once done, you will be on the next page, where you should click on execute document.
Capture photo and thumb impression and enter save. Finally view the pdf if everything is fine.
Click on submit. The copy will be submitted online to the SRO.
Leave and license agreement: View status
To know the status of the leave and license agreement submitted for e-registration, click on ‘Modify Entry/View Status’.
Enter token number, password, and security code. If you want to modify, click on ‘Modify’ or click on ‘View Status’ to check the e-registration status.
Leave and license agreement: Stamp duty and registration fees
While registering for the leave and license agreement, you should pay stamp duty and registration charges. For that go to the box – check stamp duty, registration fees and Aadhaar. Click on ‘Calculate Stamp Duty’ and ‘Registration Fees’. You will reach here:
In the box, enter details including license period (month), refundable deposit, non-refundable deposit, average monthly rent — fixed, varying rent/property in area, select if the property is in urban or rural area, average monthly rent and click on ‘Calculate Stamp Duty’.
You will find stamp duty and registration fee to be paid.

Leave and license agreement: Document handling charges in Pune
IGR Maharashtra will be levying a document handling charge or Rs 300 for leave and licence agreement registration. Previously, there was no charge associated with this.
“For online services, expenses are to be made on establishing computer infrastructure and its maintenance, modernisation of equipment and set up, storage, hardware installation cost and internet connectivity expenses. Hence it has been imperative to impose document handling charges to meet the rising cost,” the state government said in its directive.
Along with this, IGR Maharashtra also will levy document handling charges of Rs 1,000 for first-sale property registration.
