The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium is located in Pune.India won against Bangladesh by seven wickets in the ICC World Cup match held at the stadium on October 19, 2023. In this match Virat Kohli made his 48th century in one day International cricket.
Operated by the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA), the stadium has been home ground for different IPL teams such as Pune Warriors India, Rising Pune Supergiant, Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab. The stadium was established in 2012 and is located on the Mumbai Pune Expressway in Gahunje Village Pune.
It was known as the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium for some time since Sahara India Pariwar in 2013 had bought the naming rights of the stadium. However, as the monetary transaction was not successfully done, the stadium was named the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
