MahaRERA cancels licenses of 13,785 real estate agents over lapsed license

It is mandatory for agents to complete a training organised by the MahaRERA, give examination and get certificates to get MahaRERA agent registration.

has cancelled the registration of over 13,785 real estate agents as they have failed to renew their licences that was issued in 2017.

According to a MahaRERA directive issued last year, agents who wish to work in Maharashtra have to comply with the RERA regulations. It is mandatory for agents to complete a training organised by the MahaRERA, give examination and get certificates. The MahaRERA has made it clear that all agents whose license has been cancelled have to go through this drill if they want to again work as real estate agents in the state.

MahaRERA has uploaded the list of these 13,785 agents on the MahaRERA website that can be checked on https://maharera.maharashtra.gov.in/real-estate-agents-whose-registration-validity-has-lapsed#nolink

The MahaRERA agents whose licenses have been cancelled are the highest in Mumbai, Thane and Pune in Maharashtra.
