MahaRERA launches 3-tier scrutiny process to safeguard buyers

The implementation of the three-tier system empowers the homebuyers.

January 10, 2024:  A three-tier scrutiny process for registering housing projects has been implemented by the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA). This process will limit the complaints filed by homebuyers.

Under the new process, each project application will be rigorously evaluated with respect to its legal, financial and technical aspects by independent teams.

According to the MahaRERA official statement, this method will ensure timely completion of the project, thus leading to zero-complaints filed by homebuyers. Any project that fails to meet the criteria in these evaluations will not be registered.
