What is Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana 2024?

To provide economic independence to women in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana 2023 on January 28, 2023.  In this scheme, Rs 1,250 per month will be given to all eligible women in the state. While women were earlier given Rs 1,000, the amount was increased to Rs 1,250 from October 2023. The Madhya Pradesh chief minister mentioned that this amount will be gradually increased to Rs 3,000 per month.

This scheme will make:

  • Women financially independent
  • Encourage effective role of women in decision-making at family level
  • Aid in continuous improvement in health and nutritional status of their dependent children

As on October 23, 2023, the total applications received are 12,533,145. The total eligible applications include 12,505,947. The total applications that had objections are 2,03, 042.

Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2024: Eligibility

  • Women should be local residents of Madhya Pradesh
  • Married, divorced women, and abandoned widow are eligible
  • Women must have completed 23 years as on January 1 in the calendar year of application and must be less than 60 years of age

 

Who are not eligible for the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2024?

  • Women’s family’s combined self-declared annual income is more than Rs 2.5 Lakh
  • Those whose family member is an income tax payer
  • Women whose family member is employed as a permanent employee/contractual employee in any state/central government department or is receiving pension after retirement

 

Benefits of Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2024

  • During eligibility period, a woman will be paid Rs 1,250 in her own Aadhaar-linked DBT-enabled bank account
  • All women below 60 years and receiving less than Rs 1,000 per month under Social Security Pension Scheme, will be compensated up to Rs 1,250

 

How to apply for Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2024?

  • An applicant can get the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana form from the camp/gram panchayat/ward office/Anganwadi centre
  • A photograph of the woman will be taken during the application process
  • After filling the form, it should be submitted at the designated camp, where it will be filled by the person-in-charge
  • The online application number received after submission of the application form will be recorded in the acknowledgment
  • A printed acknowledgement will be given once details are filled online. Acknowledgement will also be given through SMS/WhatsApp

 

How to check if form is accepted?

Once the form is submitted on https://cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in/, you can see a provisional list of applicants.

The same will be seen on the gram panchayat office too. People will be given 15 days to raise any objection. After scrutiny, a final list will be released, and a sanction letter will be issued to the eligible beneficiaries.

Payment of Ladli Behna Yojana amount to the beneficiary

The amount will be paid to eligible beneficiaries in their Aadhaar-linked DBT-enabled bank account. If at the time of submitting the application, the woman doesn’t have a bank account, she will be asked to open one, which should be Aadhaar-linked with DBT.

When is the money transferred for the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2024? 

Under the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana, a safe and secured fund transfer to the bank accounts of the women beneficiaries is done on the 10th of every month.

How to voluntarily give off Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2024 benefits?

If any eligible person wants to give away her benefits, she can click on abandonment of benefits on https://cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in/.

You have to enter the Ladli Behna Application number, enter captcha, and click OTP. Enter OTP number and click on the check box that says I am an eligible beneficiary of Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana. I want to voluntarily waive the monthly financial assistance amount received under this scheme. Click on secure.

Note, if a woman completes the benefit-forfeit process under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, she will not be able to apply for Dobara Yojana benefits in future.
