Mumbai city is one of the last cities in the country to have actually opened up to using the metro as public transport. While cities like Kolkata, Delhi were early adopters, cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad etc. caught a faster pace as compared to the financial capital. Some of the reasons for this delay by Mumbai can be attributed to the presence of an already robust and one of the best public transport system in the country —BEST bus services and local railway services and heavily congested areas that resulted in detailed planning and delays in construction. However, the city today has picked up pace and has Mumbai Metro 1, Mumbai Metro 2A, Mumbai Metro 3, Mumbai Metro 7 and Navi Mumbai Metro running. Other metro projects in the pipeline are in the testing phase, construction phase and planning phase, but what is sure is that the city and its peripheries will be extensively connected by metro network in the future. In this guide, we will discuss in detail about the Mumbai Metro Line 11.

Real estate properties close to any public transport system offer convenience to people, hence, they command a premium price.
