Mumbai Metro Line-3 is 79.8% complete

The 33.5 km Aqua line or Mumbai Metro 3 with 28 stations is the first underground metro in Mumbai.

Work on the 33.5km Mumbai Metro Line-3, also known as the Aqua Line, is 79.8% complete, says Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) in a tweet.  There are 28 stations in this first underground Mumbai Metro rail. Divided into phases, phase-1 runs from Aarey to BKC while phase-2 operates between BKC to Cuffe Parade.

As of February  28, 2023, the Aqua Line’s overall civil works completed is 91.3%, the overall systems works completed is 47.5%, the track works complete is 55.6%, overall station construction is 88.7% and tunnelling completed is 100%.

Phase-wise project completion breakup

According to a tweet by Ashwini Bhide, MD Mumbai Metro Corporation, Mumbai Metro 3 as on February 28,2023 has achieved 85.2% progress in Phase 1 (from Aarey to BKC) and 76% progress in phase 2 (BKC to Cuffe Parade).
