National Highway 275 (NH 275) connects the city of Bangalore to Mangalore, making it one of the prime roadways of Karnataka. It traverses through Karnataka and covers a distance of 367 km from Bangalore to Bantwal near Mangalore. This highway passes through various cities and thus plays a vital role in improving connectivity and the overall development of the state. 

National Highway 275 is also known as the Bangalore-Mysore access-controlled expressway. It forms a part of the Bangalore-Mangalore Economic Corridor. This expressway is operational from March 12, 2023, covering a distance of 367 km, further connecting Bangalore to the coastal city of Mangalore. The highway section from Bangalore to Mysore is upgraded from four to ten lanes. Out of these 10 lanes, the six-lane part is the main carriageway and the two lanes on both sides are service roads. Furthermore, NH 275 is 119 km long and was built for Rs 8,000 crore. It has also served the purpose of reducing travel time between both cities by almost 50%.

National Highway 275 starts from Bangalore and transverses to Mysore as a 10-lane expressway. It becomes a four-lane highway as it goes through Madikeri and terminates at Bantwal. Therefore, it also connects Bangalore to Bantwal, which lies almost 25 km east of the centre of Mangalore.
