Navi Mumbai builder cheated in land deal

According to reports, the accused forged documents to show ownership of a plot in Ulwe. Check details.

July 15, 2024:  The Navi Mumbai police have registered an FIR against four persons for allegedly cheating a real estate developer in a land deal, mention media reports.

According to reports, the accused forged documents to show ownership of a plot in Ulwe. Additionally, documents of various agreements required for a land deal including Cidco related ones were shown to the victim.

Reports mention that the victim paid around Rs 66.75 lakh to the fraud land sellers between December 2021 and January 2023 as part of the land sale-purchase deal. A FIR has been filed for forgery, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy and the Navi Mumbai police is probing the case.
