December 20, 2023: State-owned National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has sold a 2.23 lakh square foot (sqft) commercial space for Rs 905 crore in the World Trade Centre project at Delhi’s Nauroji Nagar. NBCC has conducted the 22nd auction for the sale of this commercial space.
The company has sold a total unsold commercial inventory of 2.23 lakh sqft having sale value of Rs 905.01 crore. Of this, 0.43 lakh sqft area, having a sale value of Rs 191.84 crore, has been sold to private entities. Further, as on date, the company has sold a total unsold commercial inventory of 23.92 lakh sqft through open e-auction having sale value of Rs 9,656.62 crore.
The ministry of housing and urban affairs has appointed NBCC, a Navratna company, as the implementing agency for the redevelopment of Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi. NBCC is authorised to market the commercial space on a freehold basis.
NBCC, primarily engaged in project management consultancy (PMC) and real estate businesses, has also secured two consultancy work orders totalling Rs 180 crore. According to regulatory filings, NBCC has been awarded a work order from SAIL DSP, Durgapur, for various construction and renovation projects with a value of Rs 150 crore. The nature of the work is project management consultancy (PMC).
Additionally, the company has received a work order for the construction of a permanent building for the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) in Samba, Jammu, with a total value of Rs 29.7 crore. The order was placed by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute For Persons With Physical Disabilities (Divyangjan). The nature of the work order is project management consultancy on a deposit work basis.
