June 3, 2024: According to a survey by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida), around 50% of plots allotted under various categories across 13 sectors are yet to be registered, as per a TOI report. The authority recently conducted a survey to assess amenities that still need to be provided in these sectors to cater to the growing settlement ahead of the Noida airport’s inauguration, which is expected this year.
As per the survey report, Yeida has over 33,000 plots across four categories – industrial, institutional, residential and mixed-land use. The survey was aimed at gathering the latest and accurate information about every plot, including details of their allottees. So, if there are any issues regarding the plot that has been allotted, we can sort them out, an official said as cited in the media report.
Arun Vir Singh, the Yeida Ceo, has asked officials to conduct periodic reviews and update the database. According to the survey, 30,358 plots of 33,499 plots that Yeida offers along the Yamuna Expressway have already been allotted. However, only 15,368 plots were registered so far, while lease plans for 17,555 plots have not been sent yet. Moreover, there are 359 plots stuck in various legal disputes.
Of the 13 sectors, five are residential ones – 16, 17, 18, 20 and 22D, comprising 30,034 plots among them. Of these, 27,393 have been allotted and 13,280 registered, as per the survey. Sectors 17A and 22E have been set aside for institutional development. Of the 170 plots, 130 plots are allotted and 85 have been registered. Four industrial sectors – 28, 29, 32 and 33 have 3,341 plots in total with 2,994 allotted and 1,995 registered. Sectors 24 and 24A are for mixed-land use, with a total of 41 plots, of which eight are allotted and registered.
As per the survey, basic civic amenities have been completed on 15,541 plots. The development of amenities on 8,077 plots is underway, but there are issues with setting up facilities on 9,523 plots. Yeida has set a target of completing work on these plots by September 30.
