The Assam government has announced temporary shutting down of its portals offering land and revenue records as it moves to an advanced software to offer seamless services.
For enhancing the public service delivery experience and upgrading the digital infrastructure, all online services under the Assam revenue and disaster management department will not be available with effect from March 5, 2024 (start time 11:59 PM) to March 20, 2024 (end time 11:59 PM). During this period, online services will not be available for public in Sewa Setu (sewasetu. assam.gov.in) and NGDRS (ngdrs.assam.gov.in) portals.

“In order to consolidate the backend of the revenue and registration services pursuant to the closure of Mission Basundhara 2.0 and creation of more than 2,10,000 new Dags thereof, launch of NGDRS throughout Assam, and for pre-launch activities of Mission Basundhara 3.0, the Governor of Assam is pleased to notify Mega Block of access to all Revenue and Registration Services for general public,” the Assam government said in a notification.
In case of an emergency, citizens can approach the district commissioner (DC). The DC with prior permission of the director of land records & surveys etc., will be able to open these channels for public, the department said in a notification.
